In full leather (sheep?), green goatskin spine label and raised bands on spine. Anonymous armorial bookplate with motto "Veritas et libertas" affixed to recto of frontispiece. Ownership inscriptions in ink : "Mary Clarke her Booke in the year of our Lord 1798" (repeated) and "Mary Parsons my book" on verso of added engraved title page ; "Mary Clarke her Booke given her by John Singar in the yeare of ower Lord May 19 1798. Though there have been many Books extant of this kind yet I think some thinge hath been deficient in theme all Mary" on verso of letterpress title page. Manuscript notes, markings, and additions in ink on several pages throughout (including verso of pi2, recto of A1, recto and verso of E11, recto of F2, recto of F12 and verso of final leaf N6).
