From dealer's description: "Handwritten claim for his expenses for 41 days attending parliament 'at 40s per diem', his time, additional borough costs, and for 'two p[ounds] the best tobacco that c[o]uld be had to gift to the Lord Register at the Provost desire'. Receipted, with several calculations at foot of sheet. Covering the period November 1646 to March 1647. 20 x 15cm. The Scottish parliament was held in Linlithgow for the last time in the session immediately prior to this one.
