Dealer's description: "Each design is contained within a round-cornered pencilled box and each is annotated in pen with the character's name and sometimes in pencil with further names, some slightly Slavonic, that may refer to the actors involved in the production. The designs are for: 'Viola Sebastian', 'Tabia' (Sir Toby Belch), a pair of lavish female costumes, probably Olivia, 'Pagen' (likely Valentine and Curio), 'Nann' (apparently Feste), 'Orsino', 'Malvolio', two images - the second cross-gartered... Ellen Carola Carstens worked for the Badisches Staatstheater in Karlsruhe in the 1950s and created costumes for the Operafilm of Weber's Der Freischütz by the Hamburg Staastoper in 1968."
