Folger copy 78 wants [superscript pi]A1 and 1+1 (title leaf); supplied are the leaves bearing the corresponding text in the 2nd Folio (respectively [superscript pi]A1 and [superscript pi]A2). The title leaf from the 2nd Folio has been patched with pieces of printed facsim. to conform to the wording of the 1st Folio and has been mounted. Gathering 3b wanting; supplied in facsim. Port. (on title page) in state 3. Supplied from another copy are: 2c6, 2d1, and 2p2-6 (all purple-stained the same). Imperfections affect text on M6, T3, and Y5 and slightly affect text on 14 other leaves. No list of uncorrected states on file. Inscribed by Elizabeth Okell as "her Book 1729" ([superscript pi]A5 verso and [superscript pi]A5+1 recto) and "W. Michael July 12, 1894" (P4 verso). Juvenile drawings on [superscript pi]A5 recto, [superscript pi]A5+1 recto, and [superscript pi]A5+2 recto. Said to be the copy of John Hacket, Bishop of Lichfield. Bookplate of Andrew Hackett.
