Folger-specific note
Folger copy 70 wants [superscript pi]A1 and [superscript pi]A1+1 (title leaf); supplied in facsim. Leaves [superscript pi]A5+1.2 bound after [superscript pi]A6. Imperfections affect text on 2h5 and 2k4. See curatorial file for additional information, including variations not recorded here. Manuscript additions include inscriptions "Jno Lister" (e.g., [superscript pi]A4 recto and [superscript pi]A5 recto) and annotations (e.g., [par.]3 verso and 2f3 verso) in an early 18th-century hand akin to these inscriptions. Also annotated throughout in a different, mid-18th-century hand, apparently with reference to the textual commentary of 18th-century editors, and readings are meticulously altered by effacing, or superinscribing the printed letters (e.g., K2 verso, q4 verso, 2c4 verso, 2v2 recto, and 2x3 verso). Alfred Ollivant, Bp. of Llandaff, copy. Not in Sidney Lee's Census of copies of the first folio, nor in his Notes & additions.
