Folger copy 33 wants [superscript pi]A1, [superscript pi]A1+1 (title leaf), [superscript pi]A3, [superscript pi]A4, [superscript pi]A5+1.2, and 3b5,6; supplied in facsim. Genuine port. (in state 3) inlaid into the title leaf; port. was excised from the title leaf of a 2nd Folio the gutted remains of which are bound at the end of this copy. Leaves I2, I4, N1, and g3.4 likely to have been supplied from another copy or copies. Portions of text restored in facsim. on 2B5, g4, q6, and 2k5. Imperfections affect text slightly on 20 other leaves. The outer margin of many leaves restored without affecting text. See curatorial file for additional information, including variations not recorded here. Manuscript inscription (I2 verso): "Sir, Andrew, barton. Knight...." The 2nd Folio title leaf bound at end bears inscription: "Anne Lady Crewe" and stamp: "G. Steevens." "Circular Letter. From Mrs. Henry Pott ..." (signed: "Constance M. Pott. Jany 30th 1889"), [4] p., removed to file. The letter refers to Folger copy 33 in connection with "a great & wonderful cipher-system running through the whole of the Shakespeare Folio of 1623, & ... through a still larger group of works of the 16th and 17th centuries." This copy was one of the sources of the "Halliwell-Phillipps" facsim. of the 1st Folio first published London: Chatto and Windus, 1876. (See Hinman, C.
