The October 8, 1909 issue of the Bookseller advertises the edition de luxe of Shakespeare's comedy of the Merchant of Venice, illustrated by Sir James Linton, in "Hodder & Stoughton's autumn announcements" (page 1441), although it quotes the gives the expected print run at 350 rather than 500. The popular edition, bound in cloth, is also advertised.
