Dealer's description: "Michael Redgrave. April 9, 1948. National Theatre, New York. To the director Guthrie McClintic. "That evening at Margalo's [Gilmore] I forgot to thank you for your sweet wire the evening before. It would be foolish of me to try to tell you how Macbeth is going, for I am sure you have a far shrewder idea of how it is going than I have! But it has all been hellish fun." Redgrave opened in Macbeth on Broadway on March 31, 1948. On Michael Redgrave letterhead. Six and three quarters by five and a quarter inches."
