Note
This is a PRELIMINARY RECORD. It may contain incorrect information. Please email catalog@folger.edu for assistance.
This document is not the original petition but a brief version in letter form, which might be considered to be either an original or alternate draft. However, in the same hand written on the verso is the King’s reply. Another interesting observation is that the list of names of the seven bishops written here includes those of Exeter and Norwich, who did not sign the Petition, and omits Bristol and Chichester, who did sign.
