Manuscript content includes a copy of a catechism dated 20 June 1610 and a 2-page geneaology of a branch of the Cholmeley family (1580-1601), and one leaf with the birth and death dates of one Edward Hanser (11 January 1811-10 August 1840, Arlington, Sussex); total of [38] pages. Some shaving of print on fore-edges. D8 and a few of the manuscript leaves frayed, with loss; A1 and D8 with early tape repairs. Bound in contemporary unreinforced doeskin with envelope flaps and remnants of clasp, blind stamp of the arms of the city of Antwerp. Housed in a case. Acquired at the Robert S. Pirie sale, Sotheby's, New York, 2015-12-02/04, lot 9.
