One of several nearly-identical inscriptions: "Mary Stile her book. October 9 1775. This is worth itts wait in gold." Inscription: "Arabella Style her book. The gift of her aunt at Pooll Dorset. This is worth to wait in gold. Token of reward." The Lord's prayer in manuscript: "Our father Whitchart in heaven ..." In a contemporary embroidered binding of colored cotton thread and silver wire over silk. Acquired from John Cameron/L'auspierre, 2013-12-04.
