Publisher's address changes to "57, Chancery Lane" starting with Winter's tale (pt. XIII).
Each part has an engraved frontispiece and a half-title; Richard II (pt. XVII) has no frontispiece but a slip with this note: "In consequence of a disappointment with the plate intended for this number, it is unavoidably deferred to the next, in which two will be given;" actually issued with King Henry IV pt. 2 (pt. XIX). A slip with a similar note is bound in Coriolanus (pt. XXVIII); issued with Julius Caesar (pt. XXIX).
Each part has a printed wrapper with series information on the outside back, except for pt. I, in which the outside back wrapper is blank; variant state of pt. 1 wrapper: series information present, and Chancery Street address in the imprint. Part 1 has a prospectus for "a Diamond Shakspeare," and other advertisements. Pt. 38 contains a glossary, along with volume title pages dated 1825 and half-titles for binding into a 9-volume set.

Imperfect: wanting pts. III, VI, X, XI, XV, XXX, XXXVI; tops of pt. XXIV, p. 143-146 torn off; stored separately in compartment. All pts. wanting the original printed wrappers; pt. I wanting the prospectus and advertisement pages. Plates are correctly bound in pts. XVII and XXVIII. Apparently given to William IV as a coronation gift (according to accompanying hand-written note). Bound in red goatskin with royal coat of arms, elaborate gold tooling, spine titles; edges gilt. Housed in a miniature bookcase inspired by Garrick's Shakespeare Temple.
