Title transcribed from docket.
Dated "Laus deo In London the 8th of June 1616."
The references to William Culpepper, associated with the Eastland Company, suggest that Dering was bound for a Baltic destination, possibly Elbing or Danzig.
An apprenticeship indenture identifying Thomas Stile as citizen and skinner of London, merchant adventurer and merchant of the East India, Muscovia and Eastland Companies and Robert Dering as a son of Anthony Dering is at the Kent History and Library Centre (U350/F3).
Mis-titled "Letter of advice from Thomas Style, merchant, to Robert Dering" from 2014 to 2023.
