Autograph: Maria Elizabeth Archer Briggs. In contemporary embroidered binding of silver, gold, yellow, and red thread worked on a silk and linen ground. All edges gilt and gauffered. Each cover has five silver wire overlays which lift to reveal color silk and felt. Acquired from John Cameron, 2014-09-13. Purchase made possible by The Eric and Mary Weinmann Acquisitions Fund.
