Virginia's figures are represented in the second section from the top on the left border, based on the drawings of John White.
Lists a number of Indian villages (Indian groups).
Dutch 1642 edition has text on verso: "America, ofte de nieuwe wereld" with catchwords "West-Indien" and the signature "A," with "I" in upper right.
State 4, according to Burden; newly engraved sea around embellishments, especially in area found within latitudes 100 and 200 S, 2400 and 2500 longitude and does include wave. State 5 has harsh horizontal straight lines without wave.
